November 4-8 is Red Ribbon Week here at South Hills. This years Red Ribbon Week theme is: Send a message, stay drug free.

We will kick off the week with an assembly on Monday. We are happy to welcome our presenter, Jason Webb. Mr. Webb has been presenting at schools for the past decade on topics that are discussed during Red Ribbon week.

We will also be incorporating dress up days to bring awareness to Red Ribbon week:

Monday: You'd be crazy to try drugs - crazy socks, crazy hair, and crazy hat day

Tuesday: Look to the future, and stay drug free - wear college apparel

Wednesday: Don't let drugs ruin your dreams - pajama day

Thursday: Drugs will turn your life inside out - wear your clothes inside out

Friday: A school united against drugs - wear school colors

Students can earn tickets for dressing up each day. These tickets will be entered into a drawing at the end of the week to win some pretty fantastic prizes provided by our PTSA.

We need about 60 volunteers to man booths for our 9th grade Reality Town on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 from 7:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  There will be 2 sessions, each one is about an hour and a half. If you are willing to help with one or both sessions, please click here--Reality Town Volunteer Link.

Reality Town is a fabulous experience!  Freshmen students are given a job according to their GPA. They will visit about 20 booths to purchase a home, car, clothing, groceries, daycare, insurance, medical, etc.

Students of parents who volunteer for Reality Town will receive an extra $100.00 on their check register at the bank when they receive their books that morning.

If the above link does not work, copy and paste the following in your browser.
