South Hills Middle School
Expectations for Synchronized Learning:
- Be prepared to participate every period while we are on virtual learning
- Teachers will provide a link through Canvas to their secure Zoom class to attend virtually according to the schedule. Log into Canvas here.
- Log into your teacher’s personal meeting room at the START of each period (see schedule below).
- There is an expectation that students will log on, attend each one of their classes, and complete the corresponding assignments.
- Attendance will be taken each period, every day.
- While having the video feature on is not required, we would love to see students’ faces during the class meetings.
- Microphones should be muted in order to facilitate having one person speak at a time. The main point of muting would be to block out any background noises.
- Students are to use their names within the rooms and our Tiger Traits and citizenship expectations for the classroom should be followed.
Lunch
- January 29: Our regular Grab and Go meals will be available 10:00-11:00
- February 1 - 4: Grab and Go meals will be available 10:00 - 12:00
- February 5: Regular Grab and Go meals will be available 10:00 - 11:00; Grab and Go meals will also be available from 12:30 - 1:00.
Transportation
- Buses will not run between January 29 and February 5
- Buses will resume their regular routes and times February 8
