CELL PHONES and ELECTRONIC DEVICES:
South Hills Middle School follows the Jordan District Use of Personal Electronic and Communication Device Policy.
LOSS OF PERSONAL PROPERTY:
Jordan School District and South Hills Middle School are not responsible for personal property that is lost, stolen, damaged or vandalized. There is no provision that allows payment for any personal item that is taken from a student enrolled in the Jordan School District.
NON-EDUCATIONAL ITEMS:
Any personal item that has nothing to do with the educational process should not be brought to school. Problems arise each year because students bring articles that are hazardous to the safety of others or interfere with the school or educational environment in some way. Items which disrupt the educational environment (i.e. portable speakers, toys, laser pens, cameras, ropes, stink bombs, etc.) will be confiscated.
SKATEBOARDS, BIKES, and SCOOTERS:
Students should walk or carry their skateboard, bike, scooter, etc. when on school property. Serious or repeated violations may include school discipline. Jordan School District and South Hills are not responsible for personal property that is lost, stolen, damaged or vandalized.
